Strut bar and short shifter installed!

Hard to say how they feel seeing that I have a shed sitting behind my car and I can't get out of the garage. I will know come Saturday for sure. Here are some pics.

I do know that this strut bar is solid and nice though. Props to Flexivity for getting it to me next day.

Thanks Mike. I forgot to mention I stripped a damn strut bolt when I did it too. Have to have it tapped now.

I also replaced the rubber bushings in the shifter with metal ones. It should make a more solid feel to the shift.

nice bobby...That shifter assembly makes it feel like you are actually in gear compared to the stock setup. What bushing kit did you install too?

The 2001 Civic shifting mechanisms are WAY different than the one in my 97. My shifter is pretty much a metal shaft with a ball about 3/4 of the way down it...

Yeah...I don't think they had the cable setup or something like that. I remember reading about it...They changed everything on the 7thgen just to mess with us..

Okay, you can take a corner a bit faster and shift a bit faster...but what about actually going a bit faster???? Sorry, had to toss that in there. Looks good...but the plastic thing around the shifter kind of scares me...anything plastic scares me...probably some sort of head injury stemming from childhood.

That "plastic thing" IS the shifter! As far as going a bit faster. One step at a time. That takes real money. Just wait till you get married and get that house. You will be selling everything off then I will buy you NAWZ.

Yeah, but she threatened me, so I had to tell the cops it was work related or she would have really kicked my ass.
