West Michigan Wknd Meets @ Wyoming Sonic

Keeping this here to have one place to discuss stuff to do with the local Sonic meets.

The local Car Enthusiasts meet Friday and Saturday nights at Sonic in Wyoming, near 54th Street off Clyde Park.

There are a few prerequisites:

1) Support Sonic by purchasing a delicious drink or my personal favorite... chili dog... they have lots of good high calorie foods at low prices.
2) Be respectful of your surroundings. Use trash cans, get out of the way of other customers that aren't participating, and don't make a scene.
3) Wyoming has sound ordinances, so turn your volume down and avoid getting a ticket... if you want to blast your music before you get there and ruin your ear drums- have fun.
4) Know how to have fun and be chill

If you'd like to head out, we usually are there around 9pm and stay until midnight, and every once and a while we might cruise too. There usually is a big crowd, so come early. Some even show up when rain is possible, but don't count on going out in a downpour or if storms are inevitable.

For all those with unpainted body kits, cranked up stereos, or those who don't know how to clean up after yourself and NOT litter, just stay home... unless you want to be endlessly mocked. Each time we see a high revving car leaving we will mock you, same with the inability to turn your damn music down. This is NOT a place to be fast and furious. Keep that out of the lot or have fun getting a ticket from Wyoming PD.

Having said that, we're there to bullshit, have fun, talk some cars, and eat hot dogs. If that sounds like a good time, stop out and say hi.

i stopped out last night and there wasn't a lot of people, but then again it was suppose to rain. so maybe i will stop out again tonight. looks like it will be nicer.

Yeah, Patrick, well said. I will most likely be out there tonight. I went from having nothing to do today to have 4 or 5 options. I didn't end up doing either of the options in the morning so I most likely will be coming up around 1 or 2ish to detail my car with either you or Matt.

I could drive the 1988 mazda 323 it does have some mods lowered on intrax springs and steel braided breaklines all the way around. haha

I can't remember when it was but I remember seeing a 323 driving by and kind of getting excited because you rarely ever see those things around anymore and it looked pretty clean. It was one of the last 2 weekends. Was that maybe you?

Radiator (the main reason it was down)
EGT sensor installed
Oil Temp sensor installed
Small interior work (retapping bolt holes)
rewelding some pipes to make the new radiator fit
coolant lines added for turbo (previously plugged)
coolant lines removed from throttle body
coolant sensor for standalone moved from upper radiator hose to water neck

Last night was awesome! The cruise was fun. I got to hear thats sweeta yellow mazda go sshhshs ppsssstttttweeeeeehhaaaa. <--- blow off. We did a few quick short runs. Thanks for that Pat. Sarah thanks for not peeing in Patrick's car its yellow enough.

I don't think after having this week off I'll have another sunday off for 2 or 3 weeks. I know I'll probably stop by for a bit friday night but may go to the bar instead of staying there for hours again. I should have a new part installed I'll have to test out soon at the track or maybe re-dyno the car Won't be a huge improvement but I'd like to see the realistic results.
