I'm telling you, that dyno was NOT set up correctly. That car has a lot more power than 400 RWHP, trust me. I know what a 400 WHP can do, this car has a lot more than that, I promise. |

meh...we'll see. More dyno time and some track days will follow in the next couple months. But you're right on the dyno. They had it scaled as a 4 cylinder. wee! My fuel calculations show me around 500-600rwhp.

What are your fuel calculations?
What injector size, duty cycle, static fuel pressure, etc. ...? 400 on most DynoJets is "meh"... I just tuned a MKIV on pump gas to 525whp on S.I.'s heartbreaker.

Still, his car is NOT making only 400 whp, I can assure you of that. |

They have a "Dynocomp" dyno. Just by listening to the run, you can tell that the dyno likely doesn't have the eddy brake option to properly apply load to the car.
I'll wait until I see trap speeds or, at the very least, some basic injector math.

both of those can lie though
it took me a while to have the balls to stay in it for a whole pass and trap 132 in my rx-7, most of my traps with a similar horsepower level were below 120 (110-118 most of the time)... car would break loose in every gear and I'd have to get out of it, then wait for the turbo to re-spool, etc also, injector math can give you a ballpark but it's a pretty huge one. depends on AFR's, timing, you name it - same amount of fuel can produce 100 more horsepower if the tune is bad

After looking at videos of other cars on that dyno, it *DEFINITELY* does not apply load to the car.

Are you saying that it isn't giving enough load, or too much?

If you would have seen this car on gratiot, you would be thinkning that it had a lot more than 400 to the wheels. |

enough? Try almost none.
The car is spinning a relatively small-diameter roller. That's it. A proper load would be pushing back on the car in the same/similar manner that the street "pushes back" on the car. Compare and contrast: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/F...the_640798.htm <-- No load http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWcvmfQxbms <-- Proper loading applied Yes, I realize that one is AWD and the other is (has been converted to?) RWD, but just LISTEN. Reading obnoxiously high. In your estimation, how quick does a 400whp MKIII Supra run the 1/4?

680cc injectors. 86% duty cycle @ 6500rpm which of course is pushing it because I'm revving it to 7800rpm. stock fuel pressure regulator = 42psi at idle - vac off. I've made 500rwhp several times on 550cc injectors when I tuned for Turbo Concepts, mind you that was pushing them just a "tad" bit - but regardless. With that being said, I can assure you that the dyno was not reading "obnoxiously high". (Aside from the fact that the guys running the dyno were clueless.) There were built big blocks there that could not even touch 400hp that should have made 500rwhp without thinking. |

Anyways, I've seen a lot stock CT26 7M's make 400 whp... I'm telling you, I know the difference. This guys car is not making anything LESS than 500 at the wheels, at worst case scenario. I'm still guessing 600 ish. |
