I am working a one day gig as crowd control on Black Friday for Tenable Security. I will be at Walmart from 1 AM Friday morning until about 2 PM Friday afternoon, asking you to please stay in line.

autobody tech at hank graff chevrolet in davison. pays ok but it could be better. we have baller christmas parties and benifits are good. paid holidays. 3 bonuses a year. plus i get to test drive trade ins haha SRT8 charger yesterday. laid 2 black mombas down the other day hahaha.

im so lost in what i wonna do. ive always wanted to do autobody but i keep thinking is that really the best route for me? cant seem to figure out a path and its a huge problem i have.

well i went to mott community college in fenton and took some classes. i took classes only because they were free for me. what i found out is the school was about 10 years behind the actual industry. the best way is to apply at a local dealership as an apprentice. get your 3 years in and go take your state tests. you can go get a degree but it wont help much because you need your 3 year apprenticeship. i say apprenticship at a dealership only because they have to have all the up to date equipment and use all the new products approved by GM,ford,ect. any of the mom and pop shops can follow whatever procedures they want thus mostly being hack shops. dealerships have a certain standard they have to meet and run things by the book. so if your really interested in it then try an apprentic program. hell they pay you by the hour and teach you the proper way to do things (or they should) my dealership sent me to some I-CAR classes and programs paid in full. i have 5 certs from those classes alone. they pay for your welding test (one time only) and other classes. you have to pay for the state test at the secretary of state but its only 6 bux haha. i took mine in lapper. only certain ones issue the test. any more questions just shoot me a PM. i wouldnt wast the money on college classes unless its a wyotech deal. even then its kind of a waste.
