EVO is definitely the only practical daily-driver choice for anywhere with snow.
Convertible anywhere in the north is retarded. For a 2nd car, an s2k is a more pure driving experience. EVO is better bragging rights, timeslips, and tracktimes. Also, they're silly looking. |

Live within your means, pay cash, and have fun with it. I paid cash for both my cars and am enjoying the hell out of both of them. Sure I could afford a payment on something "nicer", but why put the extra stress on myself? As much as I'd love an Evo or S2000 myself, my vote goes to the EG hatch.

I have decided to go with a Honda. Due to the fact that i know 10x more than right now about any 4g63T and whatnot.
Plus i think that i can make a better platform than what i had the last time.

I LOVED my Camaro in the snow, throw some good snow tires on it and you've got one hell of a fun commute! Rally Camaro FTW!

do you want a car that can be fast and wont get stolen or one that sounds like an angry swarm of bees that you have to race from a roll and dump a bunch of money into like that lame video up there.

Ok thats fukn retarted... I can park my S2000 anywhere and not worry about it being stolen. ALSO.. I hear EVOs all the time that sound like swarms of bees.. its still a 4 cyl. Evos are econo boxes.

I was speaking mostly to a FWD civic not an S2000. Mod for mod an s2000 is going to be a lot slower, and yes an evo is an econobox and an s2000 is a sports car that WILL be fun because its RWD. all the op can do is drive all three and decide whats best. Personally, I would pass on the swarm of bees, maybe not an S2k, but i dont like convertables.

If you want a $20-30k drag/street/track/daily car, there's a lot to like in an EVO... But to write-off an S2k because they don't run some amazing 1/4 time is the sort of juvenile, forum-mentality, bragging-rights BS attitude that's all-to-pervasive in the car scene. Some people like to turn and drive a proper sports car - not a heavy AWD car with tons of grip, electronic diffs, and a large turbo slapped on. It's a completely different driving experience. It's the same with a Porsche or a GT-R. Track-times are simply bragging rights, and don't necessarily correlate to driver experience and enjoyment. All you're getting with an evo is a fresher, less molested dsm that's even more retard-proofed to parts-catalog race into the 11's, that you can feel slightly more comfortable with driving to work daily. Plus, they're one of the ugliest cars on the road, bar-none. Yes, that's subjective, but please try to tell me the car looks like anything but a bread-box when stripped of its scoops and wing. The scoops and wing just make it that much sillier on public roads next to more tasteful and subtle vehicles. They're both great cars for enthusiast, and I would certainly take either car, but for half the price, an AP1 is just a much, much better choice for a driving purist. |
