    Update 6/24/12

Yesterday I changed the oil and filter, found the bad fuse for the horn. Shared with foot well lights (not dome lights ) and not labled.
Tightend the parking brake again since now I know it is not the source of the rubbing. Hard to tell where it is coming from since car is loud under 50mph, but is on the left side. Maybe front dust sheild

Before heading to woodward filled up and this time got 21mpg.
By the end of the night now has about 380mi.

    Still need to do:
    1) Airdam lip
    2) git it off my base timing setting of 10deg.
    3) Get my computer to communicat with the car and see what I can have access to.
    4) Install ipod adapter for long drives
    5) Finish break-in then go to M1
    6) Another set of front springs so I can go another inch lower
    7) Unstick blend door, getting some heat through vents.
After driving yesterday was wondering if the better flow of hot air from the hood vents is getting drawn in the cowl vent to the interior?

    Update 6/25/12

Worked on this a little after making a mess grouting the fist wall.
Bumped timing from 8deg to 12deg (10deg factory 2.8L setting). Did not drive it yet though.
It appears to be using less oil happily.
Fixed the right side air dam end, "U" clip/nut had broke. Though the edge trim I got for the bottom of the air dam is too narrow to fit on it, will have to find some thing else.

    Update 6/27/12

Picked this up yesterday, for a decent deal.
CF headliner. 1 of about 500 made with the sunroof for the Mera (sp?) kit car.

Well guess this breaks my rule of form follows function as this is almost completly un-needed except that it will save time re-glueing my current headliner fabric back on.
Also should let me suction cup mount my gopro to my ceiling

Planning on commuting it to work tomorrow for more miles and see how it is now after making the timing changes. Sounds like it will be a good day for cooling varification also

No more fabic getting loose. Might fix my original any way and store it. Not sure when I will get this in though.
From memory this CF one weighs the same as the factory flimsy cardboard/foam/fabric one.

Drove it to work and back even with the ambiant heat of about 100F. Got stuck in the usual I275 construction traffic but happy to see no cooling issues, my pre-steps were enough. Also after bumping timing up it feels better and so far did not hear any detonation, but this car is on the loud side.
    Now has 416Mi

    Update 6/30/12

    Not really a "work" update.
Did a drive to Hell Mi to finish off the break-in miles and see what issues pop up.
Went well, suspension feels great sill want to go another inch lower. Was a little rough over the bumpy sections.
Still have the rubbing noise off and on.
My right side head light connector was off, put that back.
Car pulled decently through 3rd at about 3/4 throttle untill I backed out at 4500rpm, a little over the speed limit

Pulled in the driveway with 530Mi.

    Update 7/13/12

Got ahead with work so got home a little early yesterday.
Removed old headliner and started installing CF headliner.
CF headliner was missing the cut out for the third brake light to I had to add the cut out.
I have about another 30-60 min of work to finish it.

Hard to believe that I have not driven it in almost 2 weeks. Last week went to St. Louis and Chicago.

    Photos this weekend.

That headliner is sweet. But, seriously lower that car some more.

    Update 7/14/12

Got most of the head liner done.
Added some black plastic trim around the raw edge for the sun roof opening, this was actually a pain in the ass but looks good.
The brake light came apart in my hands, it is not in good shape but in all reality not seen since a tan cover goes over it.

    Glueing the lens back on

You can see a nice hole in it and some melting from the bulb. I will try and get a bright LED that will be much cooler. Will cover the hole with aluminum tape.

Back together drying, will install later.

Thanks, am keeping the interior. It is in very good condition with exception of the headliner. I even have the orignal matching floor mats.

Brighter third brake light would help as your brake lights were hard to see.

I put brighter bulbs in the tail lights during the build. Just ordered a LED for the high mounted brake light. If it works good might try one in each outer tail lights.

👍 that sounds great. LED do run hotter so be careful. I've noticed that with those in my car.
