al. YOur car looks great and im sure its decently fast.... But not fast enough, kris is going to win. IS the whole idea of this race to have fun because you couldnt run him on the way to the bbq or to milan? or is the idea of this race to try and beat him? Fill me in im confused on why this is so important.

No, it is just for fun. This all stemmed from a PM that Chris sent me, the night before the BBQ. He said that he would like to take a run at the Cobra if we had a chance. I said basically said "sure, no broblem" Well, come Saturady morning we really didn't have the opportunity to run in the early part of the caravan down due to wet roads from the rain. Then almost the whole way to the BBQ we were following a shitload of traffic. Then towards the end of the drive down, we finally got a small opening. He pretty much followed me the whole way. Once this opening came available I saw him get into the next lane and start rolling up un me. I honestly though that he was just going to try to slighshot on me, so I dropped her into 4th (not even 3rd) and just got on it. In hind sight it might have been a better idea to get each other's cell numbers and call the other guy to let him know we were going to run. Keep in mind that I thought he was going to try to just run by me becasue that's generally what all my dumb ass friends like to do once they see an opening on the expressway. I can't say that I have a single friend of mine who really hows how to drive or race for that matter. Had I known at the time what Chriss was doing, I would have given him his chance then and there.

We will race though, and when we do, regardless of who wins or loses, you will NOT see me come here and piss and moan (if I lose) or brag and get all cocky (if I win). This is just a friendly race between two friends/aquaintences. Nothing more, nothing less. To be quite honest, I personally feel that the cars are pretty evenly matched. From what Chris tells me, his personal best was a 13.1 @ 108. The previous owner of my car has slips showing a personal best of 13.01 @ 107 or 108 with a 1.89 60' on street tires. As I said, these are figures THAT THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD, NOT ME. These are also ALLEGED numbers on the car with a different driver and before the excess weight of my stereo system and the 18" Chrome wheels that I bought for it. I am not CLAIMING and numbers of any kind on my car till I take it to the track.

I really hope that most of you are not trying to turn this into a fight or war, I will not let that happen. If Chris wins, I will be the first to tell him "Good Job" and congratulate him, I hope he does the same if the tables are turned.

I hope that clears everything up for you.

I think it will be Kris just because he races at the track all the time and is usually extremely consistant. I would say that Al will have the advantage on launch but Kris gets very low 60 ft times, not to mention Al has a less performance oriented setup than the previous owner. And since Al has never taken the mustang to the track, he is at a disadvantage there. If it is on the street, then maybe not so much. but I still think Kris will win. From a roll, it looks even better for the Neon.

    Basically. Neon owns Cobra.

Since you two have your heads up your asses and you just like spouting off opinions, here is some credibale info for you jokers...

    Comparing stock to stock...

    1999 SVT Cobra
Performance 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds
Quarter mile in 13.8 seconds @ 102 mph
    Top Speed of 155 Mph

    2004 Neon SRT-4
    0 to 60 mph 5.8 sec
    1/4 mile 13.9 @ 101mph
    top speed 154 drag limited

That's comparing stock to stock. Neither of our cars are stock. That info was just posted up to show that your worthless, and very generalized reply of "Neon ownz Cobra" means shit. Have a good one fellas.

I'm glad that Chris is being quite a bit more grown up about the whole thing than you two shit starters,

    Oh lord.

Think about it though. His small mods have more impact on his performance than your "Big" mods. When anything is forced fed the littlest mods create the biggest gains.

No no, I agree, mods on FF cars have way more impact on HP, TQ, and 1/4 numbers than on an NA car!

Thanks for all of the support guys, but this race isn't really to prove anything. Just like Al stated, its just going to be a friendly race and nothing else.

I offered an entire paragraph of why I thought he would win. Why is it that you are so touchy? You can't even respond to anything without calling names and cussing. So what, we think you are gonna lose. So does the the vast majority of the people who responded to this thread. It's not like we don't have understandable logic behind it. My god, lately you remind of a bitchy litle teenage girl while she is PMSing. Grow up, be a man and stop crying so much.
