Quick question on rubber coil boosters

I have a set of worn struts, I'm waiting on a set of coilovers, but I won't have them before I road race on Saturday.
    My buddy suggested that use

Apparently these will help out a bit, i'm a bit confused how these would help.
Just wondering if there's a cheap "work around" to worn struts.
I'm not spending $300 on a set of struts just to receive my $1,399 coilovers in about 6 days.

    Link to the boosters

    Any info is appreciated.
I'm running on Saturday no matter what, but I'd really love to run it at 100%.

Ah well looks like this is too late, but there's a formula for coil spring rate, where the number of active coils is part of it. The more coils you have the softer your spring rate, all else equal. These boosters de-activate a certain number of coils, depending on how many you use, and stiffen up your springs.
