Progress has been especially slow, because I have been lazy and poor at the same time, haha.

My cheap Dorman master cylinder took a crap on me, so I decided to replace it with a Tokico. Did some reading and found out that a Z31 master cylinder has a lower split point than stock (more pressure to the rear brakes) and is slightly larger at 15/16 vs. stock 7/8.

Turns out to be one of the best upgrades I have ever done. No more having to mash on the brakes to lock them up, my rear brakes will actually lock, and I can still modulate them perfectly fine. I'd highly recommend it to stock brake/big front, stock rear guys.

I installed some ES FLCA bushings and my no-name tension a couple of days ago, took me forever to burn the bushings out of the FLCA, but it was totally worth it!

The car handles SO much better now, the front end is so much more solid and understeers a lot less.

If you are buying an S13, you should do these things first:

    1. Coilovers.
    2. Tension rods
    3. Johnnie Fraz (Stealth Custom Fab) tension rod brace
    4. Solid subframe bushings.

These 4 things improve the car so much, it's like a different vehicle.

I still have to get some solid subframe bushings, and a bunch of other things for the coupe, but I'll be working on the fastback all this coming week, so more updates then.

I should have just kept my second black hatch, I did all of those things then traded it...

Let me give you some history of my S-chassis ownership.

Had a black SOHC fastback that was all rotted out that I never took pictures of; it was my first 240.

Drove this thing home from California. Best car I've ever had, never should have gotten rid of it.

    For this stockish coupe:

Which I then traded plus some FN's for this SR powered fastback (beat by the previous owner):

Which I then sold when my license was suspended for 6 months.

I also had a tan hatch that I stripped thinking I was going to make a "race car" out of it...

Ended up selling the shell to a friend, and it's now sitting in a warehouse somewhere in Ohio...

Then I drove this car home from Cali with a massive oil leak:

And traded it for the coupe I have now (he gave me some cash too)

And flipped this S14 a while ago.

The red fastback that I crashed I traded an SR swap for.

If you're keeping count, that makes 9 s-chassis that I have owned. And where did I get with all that trading and selling non-sense? back to square one...

New stage in the fastback's progress. Just got a new job. We'll be doing a couple mock swaps (2JZ, etc) in my chassis, and then it'll get it's new engine and front end! I'm super excited.

    Also, I ordered a turbocharger.

Yeah I hope so! I ordered the 1.00 twin-scroll housing in hopes of spooling that beast fast! We'll see how it responds on a two liter!

So, a lady picked off the front end of the coupe while I was at a stop sign.

So I pulled all the panels and hammered things back to where I could at least bolt lights on.

Got my optional 1.00 twinscroll housing in.

And I wanted to see where I could sit the engine in the chassis, so I threw a junk head on my block and did a little mockup. This is not my engine bay! My boss just bought an S13 and cut it all the heck.

I'm really excited to start building my engine.

My search for the correct BorgWarner.

I've had quite the adventure trying to find the BorgWarner turbo that I want. I get a deal through one of my distributors on BorgWarner turbos, so I was doing a lot of research on the S200SX series. I finally made my decision on the S200SX 7670 with ported shroud compressor cover, which has been pulling some impressive numbers and spool times on Evos.

So, I call up my distributor, and tell him I want to order an S200SX 7670 with ported shroud compressor cover and 4" inlet. I confirm with him this. So, I wait 4 weeks, and this is what I get in the mail.

    Obviously not the 4" inlet.

So, through several calls to Full-Race and BorgWarner, I discover that not only are the part numbers for the 4" inlet version not listed anywhere, Full-Race is the only dealer that carries them besides some no-name companies that have no info or pictures.

Kurt at BorgWarner and Raffi at Full-Race were very helpful in my search.

So, let me write this all down here so that people searching for it might stumble across this and get the answers easier than I did.

Here all all the Borgwarner S200SX part numbers with specs:

    177258- "S246SX/247SX" - Compressor 45.9mm inducer/ 69.6mm exducer, .83 T4 twin-scroll turbine housing.
    177267 - "S250SX" - Compressor 50mm inducer/ 69.6mm exducer, 1.09 T4 twin-scroll turbine housing.
    177257 - "S251SX" - Compressor 51mm inducer/ 69.6mm exducer, .83 T4 twin-scroll turbine housing.
    177268 - "S256 7670" - Compressor 56mm inducer/ 76.1mm exducer, 1.22 T4 twin-scroll turbine housing.

177286 was the turbo I received. All of the above come with the 3" inlet, 2" outlet, non-recirculated compressor cover.

These last two part numbers are not listed anywhere, which is ironic, because the compressor map on the S200SX page of the catalog is not applicable to the non-ported shroud versions of this turbo. Only Full-Race carries these, basically no other dealers even know the part numbers.

    178034 - "S256SX 7670" - Compressor 56mm inducer/ 76.1mm exducer, 1.22 T4 twin-scroll turbine housing, 4in inlet, 2" outlet, ported shroud compressor cover.
    178042 - The same as above with a 1.27 A/R T4 twin-scroll housing.

All of these turbos have the same 2.74/2.42in inconel turbine wheel with 61mm exducer.

You can also get a 1.15 A/R and 1.00 A/R twin-scroll housing for any of these in addition to the ones listed. Full-Race recommends the 1.15 on the 7670, but I got the 1.00, which will hopefully bump spool a bit.

It's all good, the coupe will be fixed. Thanks for the compliments.

I'm not sure what you mean by "lowering kit" as there are many brands and such. PM me and we'll discuss.

    Not too much man.

Only thing I have left in debate is a proper S13.5 setup or keeping the pop-ups.

Since no one has noticed yet, I'm using a 4G63. This is only the second attempt at a 4G in an S-chassis as far as I know, I'll divulge the details if you all really want to know. It's not because I'm in love with the 4G or because I want internet glory, I actually think this is a very logical swap, especially since I got the longblock for dirt cheap.

I'll be using stock internals with 6-bolt rods. Here's a comparison shot of 6 and 7 bolt rods just for kicks and giggles. 6 bolt on the right.

It seems as though I have my parents convinced to buy me engine parts for Christmas, so there should be some decent updateage soon!
