Progress has been slow because we've been so packed with cars and making room for the new AWD Mustang dyno we're getting

    Welded this up:

    Yeah that's my buddy Cody's.

Finished up my engine mounts. These are a little more sturdy eh? Hahah.

Exhaust Manifold is almost complete and Evo intake manifold is on the way.

It's getting swain tech's white lightning coating after the first few heat cycles, so no sense in polishing it now...

Got some more parts in this week.

Stock Evo intake manifold. I needed it because it has a slanted back runner which puts the plenum up farther, allowing it to clear the brake booster.

    Powdercoated my mounts.

In other news, I have abandoned the Borg Warner airwerks line and have reserved myself a EFR 7064 with .92 T4 TS. Should arrive in June-ish. I'm pretty excited.

I'll have the engine mocked up in the car for the open house we're having here at SIM this Friday, so I'll have some pics.

i am surprised you aren't doing a custom intake manifold for this. does that evo jam flow pretty well?

Yeah the Evo intake is pretty balanced as far as powerbands go, which I like. Eventually I'd like to do a custom setup, but honestly the amount of work and tooling it takes to pull it off is more than I'm willing to invest right now.

First test fit with everything attached. Hopefully I can get the valvecover done before friday and bolt on a few more parts. I'll take some quality pics then

    This makes me so happy.

    Thanks man!

The coupe got some love last night. I've been driving this thing with no fenders, hood, or bumper on it for a while now, and I finally got pulled over and told by a state police officer that I couldn't drive without a hood because "parts could start flying off" hahahha. Well we fabbed up some brackets for the lights and lined everything up the best we could. This car will eventually have a full tube front end, but I'm trying to postpone spending money on this till I get the fastback done. On to the pics:

And a few better pics of the fastback bay:

    Okay, update time.

After long, sleepless nights evaluating my budget, love of cool engineering, and manhood, I have decided to abandon the EFR plans for now.

So, what is taking it's place?

    This Holset HX35. Twin-scroll in a 12cm2 housing.

Now you may be thinking, "Isn't that T3?". Yes, yes it is. But I bought this adapter from OBX (yes I did buy something from OBX ) which will be welded, not bolted to the turbo. Obviously a little port matching is in order.

The wastegate will also be welded shut and two Tial 38mm's will take it's place. If you do a little searching around, you'll see these things pulling pretty big numbers with really awesome spool times, and the same turbo on my bosses stock block evo feels pretty dang awesome. We'll see how it ends up.

Did a little turbo modification today.

    What internal wastegate?
