    Compress Exhaust Pipe

Anybody familiar with any tools you can get at an auto store or sears that can compress exhaust piping? I have to compress the end of my downpipe back to stock and don't want to take the downpipe off. All help is appreciated, thanks.

    Edit:

It would appear that compressing the piping is not going to be an option. Cut and re-weld another pipe of equal length may be the only option. Anybody?

Aside from cutting and welding, a better option would be to expand the stock pipe to match the downpipe diameter. If it were me, I'd buy a cheap reducer and weld it in place.

Can you get the pipe off and take it to an exhaust shop?

I've thought about these options before but I don't want to modify the stock exhaust at all. I think I'm going to have to remove the downpipe and then cut and weld it.

That's looking like how it is going to have to be done.
