Tore the dash out today and rewired my fan switch aswell as got the speedometer re hooked up, i can easily see how it came unhooked, also ordered the correct e brake cables today since the ones i had wouldnt attatch correctly.

Still havent got the tac in the cluster to read but i found an old autometer moster tac in the garage i plan to wire in

Who needs a Tach? :P buddies mk3 doesn't have a tachometer, or speedometer. except he has a rev limiter..

Untill this week i was running this car the exact same way lol, im just getting around to fixing some of the smaller bugs with the car.

Just have to drill 2 more holes and the drivers race bucket will be mounted, ill post more pics after dinner tonight when i get the harness bar in

Havent been around my computer to upload the pics but the drivers seat and harness is in and feels amazing and the car feels totally new, couldnt be happier, pics soon to come

Nah gotta finish the passenger seat before i get to thhat, and im debating if i wanna see that monster of a tach every day or if i wanna buy a lil smaller one

Find a solid green wire from the cluster. That is the tach wire. I guess you just run that to the Neg side of the coil.

My buddy has hooked up a couple tachs in my old dubs so i'll ask him to confirm what i said.

thanks man ill look into that aswell, the prev owner showed me a black wire he claimed had to be hooked to that terminal for the tach to work and when i did that it just made the wipers stay on 100% of the time the car had power running to it... i was like ... the fuck...?

My 86 Jetta was so low that no matter what was laying in the road or crossing the road, i had to swerve or my lip would get ripped off haha.

yea luckily my lip stayed intact but it cracked the paint on the bottom of my bumper

ahh that sucks. I took out road kill once and the lip was forever warped. My buddy owns the car now.

got called off work so going to try and get a little more done today, gotta head to town and see if my new E-brake cables are in at the dealership yet.

then possibly going to try mounting up the BBS's as is and see if we can ballence out the warp the one has with some inner wheel weights, figure its worth a shot since they have just been collecting dust and i have brand new tires for them doing the same.

Figure out your tach issue yet? You could take the cluster out, find that green wire and run it to the neg side of the coil. If it doesn't fix it then idk.

NNo i havent had time to tear the dash apart again yet but thats what i plan to do.

No luck with the e brake today, cables were suppose d to be in on monday and they still werent here today... guy at the dealership has no clue where they are or why they arent here yet.

I did get the bbs mounted today, they all balanced out really well except for one that has a slight vibration, gunna drive on them for a couple days and see if it annoys me or not, its pretty minor, ill get pics of the car on the bbs uploaded soon
