Guess ill ask if someone brought a car to you are you willing to make chromoly subframes for differnt platforms?
The Original 1G DSM Chromoly Crossmember
I’ve been building these in my garage in my free time since January '09 and have over 70+ units being used in the field. Rest assured you’ll get a top-notch quality product and excellent customer service when buying from me.
These crossmembers are made of 1.500 x 0.83" normalized 4130 Benteler chrome moly tubing imported from Germany. No cheap, junk tube used here. All connections are fit perfectly tight and fully TIG welded using a Miller Syncrowave 250DX.
This bar allows you to completely remove the north/south bars that connect the crossmember to the front subframe. This is perfect for a street car or drag car that is looking to shed some dead weight. Some subframe rigidy will be lost, so this part may not be ideal for a road race or auto-x car.
This crossmember bar only weighs 5.1 lbs total. That's approximately 18-19 lbs lighter than the three factory bars. It bolts up using the existing factory studs and nuts (so no other nuts, bolts, or parts are required for installation). In addition to weight savings, it is also a much smaller diameter to allow more room for a larger turbo, intercooler piping, side-exit exhaust, etc... As a standard option, it will come painted satin black to resist surface rust and to give it a nice finished look. If you’d rather I leave it bare, please request that when ordering.
These are designed to fit M/T and A/T 91-94 1G AWD and Galant VR4 cars only. It can be made to fit a '90 model 1G though. Details HERE.
Price is $165.
Shipping and insurance will run $14 to MI residents or $18 to the continuous 48 states. Please add an additional $15 for Canada.
If interested, please PM me here, or e-mail me at 99gst.racer at gmail dot com.
We know how to weld chromoly tube very well. We achieve optimal penetration while maintaining the strength of the steel. Also notice the welds on the bar ends. They are capped and welded in welding lathe to ensure repeatable precision.

I'd love to, but I don't really have the means. I don't have a full machine shop, nor the time to jig up various subframes. This is just the result of my garage tinkering. Although, I am currently working on a chromoly 2G AWD rear subframe. I don't plan to build anything outside of the DSM World as of right now.

Umm.. 2g bar, and subframes? Or do I need to bug Marco?
I still build those, but I don't currently advertise them anywhere. I actually just built one this past weekend for a buddy on the east side of MI. I'll dig up some pics in a little bit and post some details.
If you want a nice tubular rear subframe, I'll have you covered in a couple months. It will brace the differential twice as well as the factory stuff, as well as have adjustable inboard pick-ups to correct the geometry on lowered cars. Should be pretty trick when it's all said and done. I'm doing a limited run of about 6 and half of those are already spoken for.
For a 2G front chromoly crossmember bar, I'd refer you to Frontline Fab. He's already got a fixture and a prototype finished, and it's an excellent part. And he's a friend of mine, so I have no interest in copying his design and trying to compete with him.

When you have a rear sub frame done, shoot me some pictures. Im interested in one, rather its yours or Marco's.
You skipped the front subframe though.
Ill look into Frontline's front bar.
I don't have any definite plans for a 2G front subframe, but I do want to eventually do one and I'd consider jigging one up sometime this coming summer. I just need to figure out where to move the pick-up points first.

Here's the 3-pc kit for your 1G AWD guys that don't want to eliminate your north/south bars. It's pretty self explanatory. Includes the heims, spacers, and bolts. This kit runs $350 + freight.

I'm working on a large batch of these right now and I'll have about 4 left over that aren't spoken for. Hit me up if you're interested in one!

Playing around with a new design for the 3-pc set-up. Uses a double shear attachment on the main bar. I'll also have some k-member plates to go along with it that should really help put some strength back into the k-member for the guys that enjoy the twisties.

Here's a shot of the k-member plates. They bolt to the underside of the k-member box it up and keep it from deflecting under load.
