having problems, seems the car hates rain, and water got to the harness plugs that go to the ecu and in the ecu. welp hope for the best

i have half the harness pull and hoping to get it dried off, and the ecu apart. everytime i plug in the the ecu the plugs and pins are soaked when i unplug it, so im hoping thats why it wont start. it cranks but no start. havent checked spark or fuel. since all this happened due to water. crossing fingers i can get her back up and running this thrusday

Good luck wiring is annoying enough on it's own, adding water to the mix D:

alright, im bumping trying to get myself back into this car and off a wrx kick so everyone help me out here

    so the plans are

sell apexi neo,buy greedy emanage, bypass boost cut, and hold the fuck on lol

so i started painting my front lip with some spray paint, im getting ready to slap the front lip on, and drop this car! hopefully i can do it tomorrow !! if there is time.

also looking at painting g35 wheels, not sure on the color yet, gotta keep looking around on this one.

also going to seach and buy a new axle back this one is a tad loud, maybe a apexi or a hks will work.

boost controller , wideband install soon. car will feel good at 12/13psi instead of 8. ordering a greddy bcc. which may work with my neo , if so, ordering injectors and saying hello to 18-23psi, then we will be sourcing a manual swap and getting some new seats.

If you are going to go with a R154 I suggest saving up and send it to Marlin Crawler first. Otherwise you will just be pulling it out a couple months later. Get that 1st gear thrust washer, 1-2 shift fork, and bearing retainer replaced with quality parts.

yep. already looking into that. the manual swap will most likey happen over the winter, but the auto trans issue should be fixed shortly as well as being limited on boost. time to make this car live up to the supra name.

manual swaps are common and super easy on these cars. should happen over the winter. but for now its on to lowering the car and upping the boost.

For a manual swap. It varys. If you.buy a trans from a place like zerolift the cost to Do a 5.speed swap is around 2900. 6 speed is around 4.5k. This is with buying name brand and top of line. Fro clutch to master . I could Prolly get the 5 speed swap done for a good 1500 if I found a used 5 speed. But I want to name 600 so going 5 speed.I would have to build the tranny up alittle.but. buttttttttt.

You can do a auto trans , Do a slapstick tuners...which allows you to fully tune the trans to shift points , hardness if shifts..line pressure even can add paddle shifters to it. And the slapstick is only 395

So as of now...I'm buying a mkiv. Tt auto trans.when I find one. Adding. Slapstick tuner,..trans cooler and maybe a conveter . Stay tuned .working on this stuff..now, unless a red 240sx trades me.lol ......

if it was 5 speed, i wouln't trade it for a sr20 240 no offensive. but thanks for creeping on this car , atleast someone is watching the thread. alot of changes coming to this car. front lip, racing seats, new trans, new wheels, slapstick, map ecu, trans cooler, more boost and other little stuff. coming. since it seems im not going to get a 240 that is decent for it

Alright, i havent updated in a awhile, so i will tell everyone what is going on.

    1. i may be getting rid of the car, this is true, i have been talking to someone about a deal. who knows what will happen, but i will go on with the car as it is not happening.

    2. work that is being done.

I am working on redoing the rear window visor the tape is coming off on one spot, no biggy easy fix, i am in the process of buying a new rear 6 disc box for it. i have a trans lined up, but waiting for my buddy to have it in his hands, before i promise it going in my car. the trans is from a mkiv auto tt car. looking at ordering a trans cooler and lines soon, the car is going back to the shop soon. at the shop the car will get lowered, trans cooler, old trans pulled. thats all the details i have alot of other things are going on but i cant say due to not being 100% happening. well keep a look out for pictures and updates. first thing is lowering the thing and cleaning her up some more.
