id kinda wait for the 5, but then again i hate having a shitty phone, its a 50/50 situation.
Long story short. My gf and I have a shitty droid pro and droid x respectively. Both have had multiple phones (same phones), replaced because they kept having problems.
I have my upgrade that I can use anytime though. Should I get the 4s and stop dealing with the heartbreak or should I tough it out and wait for the 5.
Upside to upgrading now.
Better phone! No more issues of it not saving pictures and it works with my system in my car.also tons of other upsides.
Downside would be that the 5 comes out this year. probably with 4g and a true quadcore processor. But will this come out in June like they tend to? or will they wait til fall. I cannot last until fall with this shitty phone.
Anyways. What would you do. annnnnd GO!

I say go 4S. I upgraded from a 4 in January. Very happy with the phone. It's much quicker and much less annoying than my 4 was. I normally tend to wait for the S model instead of the initial just because of all the bug fixes.

I'm gay for Nissan and shit.
i would wait. It would suck to get the 4s and then have it be crap compared to the 5.
I like Turtles
and the 5 is purported to have a real 4g radio and not the fake "4g" that ATT gives iPhone users (3g with amp'd signal, capped to right around 16mbits)
Other than that, no comment. My Droid Bionic and my OG Droid were PHENOMENAL. but each person has their experiences![]()
There's a trick to being whatever you want to be in life.It starts with the simple belief that you are what or who you say you are. It starts, like all faiths, with a belief-a belief predicated more on whimsy than reality. And you've gotta believe for everybody else, too - until you can show them proof. If you're lucky, someone starts believing with you - first theoretically, then in practice. And two people believing are the start of a congregation. You build a congregation of believers and eventually you set out to craft a cathedral. Sometimes it's just a church; sometimes it turns out to be a chapel. Folks who don't build churches will try to tell you how you're doing it wrong, even as your steeple breaks the clouds. Never listen.- From TOUGH SHIT

There is and will be no such thing as the iPhone 5, that is straight from Apple. They have discontinued the practice of using numbers to indicate generations on the iPad and iPhone. Some of you may have noticed the new iPad that was released last month was marked "the next generation ipad"
I would buy the 4s, it's an awesome handset.. If you get the 32gb or 64gb you can easily sell them when the new phone is released to pay your early upgrade fee plus possibly have a few bucks left over. iPhones hold their value like no bodys business.
Air Max 90's
Then it's gonna suck when the 6 comes out and you have the 5 or the "next generation" or whatever the hell you wanna call it or Android is gonna come out with something that'll top the 5. It's a vicious cycle and there will always be something better. Buy something you want and like and stick with it till your contract runs out.

I've had an upgrade available for nearly 15 months now. Fuck the 4, fuck the 4s. I've been waiting and waiting for them to ditch the "square" shape that the 4/4s has. Rumor is that the next one might have a larger screen, as well as a different shape or "form" as they call it. I have a 3gs 32gb that I got the day it came out (June 19th, '09), and it's SLOWWW nowadays. I'm sure the fact that I've used all 32gb doesn't help anything.
I was so disappointed when the 4s was announced that I was looking at ATTs android offerings. I don't think there is one of them that would make me happy though. I don't want to modify or dick around with anything. I want to take it out of the box, sync all my contacts and roll. Plus a friend of mine had the Droid X, and that is THE shittiest "smartphone" I've ever seen.![]()
I guess that if the 5, or whatever they're going to call it doesn't come out in the next few months, or I just don't like it, I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do. I'm itching for a change though. And Siri, while cool, is not at all a selling point for me. I think it's purely novelty stuff, although who knows. Maybe it really would come in handy.
The iPhone 4s is pretty legit bro. Idk how long till the 5 is actually released but I wouldn't wait for it. U can sell the 4s anyways and get a 5 by then .
Or get the skyrocket that's what I have and its pretty cool.

You have a different phone every week lol.
But yea Dane, I haven't ever really loved the way the 4 or 4s felt or its size but all of my friends that have them have no problems what so ever.
Oh and as you can see, As you friend has a Droid X and you hesitate calling it a smartphone. Trust me when it came out it was the shit. I still have it though and you think yours is slow? at least it works...
Yeah, mine is slow as shit, and it STILL runs circles around the Droid X.I've also had my 3GS for nearly twice as long as he has. I can't believe people hyped that shit so much when it came out.
Anyhow - My mother has a 4, and she can't stand it. She wants me to put all her shit back on her 3GS. My brother has a 4, both the front and back are broken.
My Dad and Sister both have the 4s - from what I understand they don't mind them. I can tell you that they NEVER use Siri though. That I've asked on numerous occasions.
How much do I dislike the flat bottom on the 4/4s? Enough to switch to Android, should Apple piss me off yet again.![]()
Believe it or not, I wake up on the same side of the bed, everyday.![]()
I'm open to new things. This is my 3rd cell phone. I avoided getting one as long as I possibly could. I think I got my first one in '04 or '05. I didn't even buy it, my Dad did. I came home from work one day and it was sitting on my desk with a note on it - "We cancelled the land line, so if you want to talk to people, use this."

My co-worker has gone to the Apple store 3x in 6 months to swap out his daughter's iPhone 4s. First time she dropped it and it shattered, 2nd the charging port shorted out and stopped working, and yesterday it just shut off and refused to turn back on.
I know some people love 'em, but they certainly aren't without problems. Sucks, too, that the nearest Apple store is 30+ minutes away. Can't just show up to my local Verizon store.
Stuffs.
