monroe might as well be the south
Long story short, I headed south three years ago amid all the trouble with estimates of 40% unemployment in the city and the mayor going to prison in search of better work and life. While my time down here has been on the whole, satisfying and productive I have been given an opportunity back in Michigan that alass I cannot pass up.
My friends you are now talking to the lead maintenance tech at Pioneer Metal Finishing in Monroe, Michigan. It is with great excitement that I announce to you all that I will be headed back north of that Mason Dixon line into "yankee" country. The land of pop, expensive smokes, MLB and by far a better hockey club then the Pred's.
So the task that I delegate to you Xceedspeed is to point me in the direction of rental homes in the area of Monroe or any of it's surrounding neighborhoods. We're not looking to buy right now but to rent a home. Trying to stay within 20-30 minutes of downtown Monroe to keep me close for "on-call" situations. Looking for something in the $900-1500/mo range with of course the obligatory garage and land being a plus.
So if anyone out there knows of any places that are for rent, please pass them along to me as they would be greatly appreciated. I start there on the 7th of May and the wife and kid's are to follow around Memorial day when my son is out of school. We're coming from a beautiful 2,000+ sq. ft. brick home in a well established sub division and are looking to stay in the same type of home so no trailers or dumps... just sayin...
So if anyone knows of or has anything, please pass them along.
Thanks in advance,
-B16Bronco

R.I.P. Ryan DeBlouw, Musmaro, you were one of my best friends. Smoke them tires wherever you are man.
Lol, not as far south as Nashville brotha...
Tons of houses here to rent. It's a nice area, close to 75, 275, 23.
Best bet is to call the local realtors here. They handle a ton of the rentals for people.
Also, the Monroe evening news classifieds.

You'll also want to look at surrounding towns of Ida, Dundee, Carleton, rockwood.
I work in FlatRock, it's 20 minutes...as is Toledo. Car insurance is lower in Ohio, as they run a normal insurance instead of no fault. Insurance will be cheaper in Monroe county than Wayne.

I'm gay for Nissan and shit.
Where were you located in Nashville? I just moved back from Franklin last summer, I work for Nissan and moved back to our facility in Farmington Hills. I was down there for just over 5 years and it was fun and I liked it but I was ready to come home. I don't know how long I will be back in MI as you never know who will come calling but I am glad to be back.
Let's all come back and shoot each other over Kool-Aid.
Manchester, the home of Bonnaroo... Worked for the worlds leading manufacturer of floor mats lol. Had an uncle with a house in franklin, sold it for $450k... nice place.
Other than that, it's nice to be back. Get keys to the new crib on the 11th and slid into a dream job down in Monroe. Just getting used to how shitty the roads are up here, damnit man.
The roads aren't that bad as long as you have at least 6" of sidewall to absorb some impact![]()
