Im trying like hell. I picked up a 400ex and its beggin for some sand.

We usually stay at the dunes waterfront

I think im going to stay there later this year. I have been going up there for 20 years and either stayed at the sands resort or silver hills campground(I know the owner).

I also have my eye on a 2 acre lot outside of town that im looking into buying.

We used to stay at silver hills long ago. Is Terry still the owner? We stopped staying there when they decided to make it not fun. No campfires,no alcohol etc.

Terry is still the owner. The only rule he sticks too is loud music. I drink my ass off along with all the other sites around me and I usually have a fire till about 1 or 2 in the morning. He is getting older and does not mess with you if your keeping quiet. I have stayed at yogi bear and it sucks when you have to be up at 8 to get on the dunes and all the sites around you are partying till 4am. Im younger but I enjoy a nice quiet fire and good sleep.

I think I am going to try to stay at the waterfront next month sometime. Its cheaper to tent but gets old after awhile.

Hmm. Last time we drove thru there(about 4yrs ago) he had signs posted saying no alcohol,no campfires etc. so we said to hell with that. When I was younger and went up there with my parents we always stayed at silver hills and Terry used to be pretty awesome. It used to get pretty wild there back in the day too.
Im the same way when it comes to the partying etc. It sucks when all the sites around you are loud and obnoxious all hours of the night and making it hard for people to sleep. We hardly ever camp anymore and now with a baby I'm sure we will stay at the hotel now til he's older.

Im hoping to make it up once more this year, whether it be in the stock truck or the quad if I still have it.

Me and the Jeep will be showing face anytime after this week. So when is a good day to go? Any upcoming events?

Nothing till September when the bbq cookoff is in town. If you like it when its busy then go on a weekend. If you like to have the dunes to yourself go during the week. I will be up in august a few times(i hope). I need to find a trailer to haul my 4 wheeler.

We have stayed at Yogi the last 3 years and have never had a issue. First year was in a tent with a 1 year old last 2 in a popup and it was quiet.
