Selling my car - Nostalgia time.

After a wonderful tad longer than 2 years of owning my Focus SVT, I have a serious prospective buyer coming to look at it tomorrow. A young lad, who hopefully will enjoy it - and more importantly, treat it like I did.

I can't believe how actually, erm, well saddened by the fact it's going to be gone. It was the first sporty car I've owned - which is big for me. I've had a passion for automobiles since I can literally remember. When I was 4 I had Lamborghinis on my wall.. It was the first item that I obtained by devoting myself to hard work, and a lot of wrench time, blood, sweat, and a tears has gone into it. There's pride in a hunk of metal, that I never imagined an inanimate object could hold, not to mention many, many memories. I drove the car a whopping 35,000 miles in one year, so needless to say, I spent some time behind the wheel.

I had planned on keeping it and turning it into a full blown track car, but that dream has faded. I know, I can buy another one down the road - but it isn't THIS car.

Maybe I could buy it back in a year or two. :P Pictures for good measure.

One of my favorite pics of it.

It's been camping... (Focus had to sleep outside unfortunately )

Enjoying the Tunnel of Trees. Hands down the best road in Michigan I've ever driven. It's 1.5 lane wide, no line markers 22 miles of twisty turny bends and hills and rolls oh my.

    The 'dreaded' 100k roll.

And the reason it's going. (With my friends duplicate car he had to get after driving mine!)

Anyone else have really dread selling a car they owned? And realized just how much that chunk of metal and rubber meant to them?

Oh yeah, my black STI. I only went a year without it before I got the blue one. The new car will do a good job of loving you back though.

Once had an Euro SVT. I still miss that car. I would honestly say every car, with the only exception being my saturn I had at 16, I've missed a little bit. My prelude was pretty good all around, svt was amazing handling, 350z had the speed and rwd I wanted and the integra was rust free and just good to beat around. Something wrong if you're a car lover and you don't find some sort of attachment to a car you've had a chance to own and appreciate at least a little bit.

My IROC. The people who got it off of me didn't deserve it, but I needed the cash. I worked my ass off throughout high school to buy that for my 18th birthday, but times were tough and it needed a new motor.

I want to sell my car but i cant come forward to do it. Its my first car and i love it to death but 180k isn't pleasing to see haha. But i don't think i can sell her, when i get down i let my wife drive it and i just drive her car and watch it roll, then i change my mind.
