i have heard of s2000 having salvage titles simply because the seats were stolen....i second that you lock your shit up and dont let people know where it is that its stored
It should also be noted that I do not, and have not ever, owned a Honda. Well, not one with 4wheels anyway. But I'm also not a COMPLETE idiot.

The dig racing scene in town is WAY fast for your honda, but you could probably hang with a few cars in roll racing land... Milan is less than an hour away from you, and it is a great little track with all sorts of stuff that race there on the test and tune / NOET nights that you could fit in with.
One bonus is the fact there is an E85 gas station on every corner! You will love that... all my rides are on e85 and I never complain.
The V160 club is pretty sparse up this way... aside from my buddies mk4 and supra paul, you are going to be in a league of your own. If you do run across turbo LSx cars, I would probably stay away unless you know they are garbage, because there is some super legit fast stuff in town lately... roll or dig.
Woodward is pretty cool, people are really chill and you will pull enough of a crowd the first few times out to build a little network of car buddies... While our scene is shady at times, and somewhat small, I feel like we make up for it with quality.
07 TBSS - murdered with loud parts // 97 GTP - Its got miles on it, lots of them
01 GTP - So clean I could eat off it // 03 Taruas - Why do I own this car again?

god i freaking hate you
nawh just playingthat s2k is god fucking gorgeous, i wanna see that thing when she arrives in michigan.
and also, people with bikes up here are usually pretty darn competitive... so dont expect to hang with 1000cc bikes, and dont give any 600's room... and dont race from dig.

RE: drag strips at road tracks.
Not a midwest thing.
Best drag strips in michigan:
#1 Mid Michigan in Stanton (2.5 hrs from Auburn Hills)
#2 US131 between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo (~3 hrs)
#3 Milan
#6 Lapeer
Lapeer is cheap and close to Auburn hills, and thats about it
Road Tracks:
Waterford Hills
Grattan (very nice track, east of Grand Rapids, 2.5 hrs from Auburn Hills)
Gingerman (nice, but on Lake Michigan shore, 3.5 hrs from Auburn Hills)
Mid-Ohio (IMHO world class track, between Michigan and Cleveland, 3.5 hrs from Auburn Hills) Norwalk is 1 hour due north of Mid-Ohio

thanks. And off topic, hows the skiing in the area?
Do they have any good resorts? That would be a fun hobby to take on...

Mt. Brighton sucked every time I've been. Never been to alpine valley, but I haven't heard good things. Mt. Holly is 'good enough', but nothing special. I've been snowboarding for 16 years, and only have Maine to compare to.

Not sure how long you plan on staying here, but winter is dead time for sure. Work on the car if it's not below 0, or play videogames.![]()

No build thread as it was a purchased car less than a month ago, conservatively tuned on pump gas at 300whp (going to verify soon on a dyno locally). This hatch is my semi daily driver, fulltime daily once I sell my Cruze Eco. Its getting a manifold and turbo upgrade along with S300 so I can tune it. Rear gutted interior, Recardo DC2 ITR seats... slowly coming together.
I am however building a DC2 with a JDM front end... target is 550-650hp range. Missing turbo and sleeved lower end is all for the build to start assembly. This has a gorgeous Full-Race twin scroll bottom mount on it
I only recently got into the Honda scene, but going all in...
welcome sir. nice s2k

I noticed you keep mentioning "if the roads are nice," etc...
The roads are prettttttttyyyyy terrible here compared to Florida.![]()
