93 Civic Tire and wheels sizes

What's going on guys? I'm looking at getting a new set of wheels and tires for my civic, its a 93 cx, but it's going to have a 95 dx engine and trans in it soon.

I'm pretty set on a pair of 15" drag Dr-23 wheels. As for tires a set of 195/50/15 will be perfect on their height, but would it be worth it to go to 205's? PS, how is it to have these size tire without power steering? Oh and offset, is 40mm alright?

For tires I really have no idea, I want something alright for summer, because I will likely have a set o f winter wheels. I don't want anything really aggressive, it will be daily driven, as for noise I don't really care because my exhaust will cover the sound. What do you guys think of cooper cs4's?

"What is the lowest price you will take for your parts?"

Kumho 195/50/15 is what I run currently. Really nice tire for a daily, just not my daily.

To answer your power steering question. I have 195's on my non power steering RWD car, and i can hardly feel it. My car might be just a tad lighter on the front end though.

My buddy ran 225 hoosiers on his autoX EG with no PS...said it was a bit of a struggle but was fine with 195s and 205s...

If your wanting all the grip you can get out of a tire, run the 205/50/15 dunlop starspec z1. They are great in the rain amazing dry traction as well. Worked great on my teg.

My current all-season tires are the Kuhmos posted above. Good tire, I can even say they do well in the snow.

First off thanks for all of the advice guys. I'm pretty set on the 195/50-15 tire size because the speedo will be almost right on, and I'm not looking for anything really aggressive yet. Since I'm a newer driver I wont be hitting up track events or autocross anytime soon, so I'm mostly concerned with tread life, wet performance, and maybe a little bit of stickiness. I narrowed down three tires that I like so far, the Dunlop Direzza DZ101, Yokohama S Drive, and The Kumho Ecsta AST. I'm leaning toward the Kumho because it's a bit cheaper and since it's and all season I could use it in the winter if I needed to. But if you guys have any input on these tires let me know.

P.S. would stock 95 Dx wheels fit over gsr brakes, front and rear?

I run 205's without PS on my EG hatch. I have no problems.

i also have a 93 civic EX coupe. i'm sitting on some 195/50/15 GSR blades but i'll need new tires soon. i'm considering going to a 205/45/16. I actually have a random 205/45/16 wheel & tire sitting so i put it on to see how it looks, and i like it... what do you all think of that? oh, BTW, what are some budget friendly, reasonable slow wearing, sticky summer tires that you all recommend.
