    Lowering question

Recently I purchased a integra and I plan on going low. Now, I understand I need coilovers and I want to run just a bit of camber. I know most of these things, just don't understand if I need control arms and a subframe brace in the rear. I see plenty people running the beaks set-up. I just want to be sure before I start driving it in unsafe circumstances. All input is perfectly welcome, thank you very much

You honeslty dont need any of what you said. you will get a bit of camber when you lower your car (-0.5 - -2.0 depending how low) what you really need it get an alignment and set your toe setting back to stock. remember this... camber doesnt kill tires, toe does.

Also, are you planning on running wide, low offset wheels? thats the only time i ever use a camber kit is to fit stupid wide, low offset wheels and tires correctly.

and the rear braces are for big ass sway bars, not because you lowered the car.

I plan on going with rota grid offroads 16x8 +10 with 15mm (or less) spacers. Only because the wheels are hard to find in +20. And I plan on being very minimal from the ground.

Ooh... so you want a 16x8 -5 setup on a integra? better run like -4 camber and 195/50 tires.... because im just going to say it, your car will look stupid and will ride/handle like shit.

Actually, I don't plan on going crazy with camber and believe me. I'm not going to be running a crazy stretch. 205/40r16's on 8's? I believe it's fairly coservative compared to throwing on 195/45r16. I'm sorry if it isn't to your liking but I was just looking for some help on the subject.

do you honeslty know what work it takes to fit what you want on the car properly? youre going to have to roll your renders, remove part of your bumber, relocate the rear bumper tab further back, bang some metal back, and cut some of your fenderliner out just reclear the wheel/tires. and you will be needing more than -4 camber if you want to fit a 16x8 -5 wheel with a 205.

And 205/40 is a bit of a stretch on an 8" wheel.

An you do understand add spacers decreases the offset value, right? +10 wheel with +15 spacer is -5 offset.

I knew about having to roll the fenders, and triming the finderliners. But, no idea on relocating the bumper tabs, and what do you mean by removing part of my bumper? The spacers may not be necessary in this case then.

The inner lip of the bumper need to cut down to reduce any cutting/rubbing on the wheel/tire.

Would this be so even if I choose to go without th spacers and stay at +10? and as for a rear camber kit. I was looking at the skunk 2 kit. Is there anything else I will need on top of the kit. Or will the other oem parts manage with it.

Just to be sure. I do not need to change the control arms/sway bar. (I will eventually, I want to track it when it's ready, and it will be lifted a bit for the suspension travel.) Then I'd need the suspension mods right?

This is from a while ago. Camber was fine which I thought caused tire wear. Toe was WAY off. Glad I found time to have it aligned before I killed them. Looking for my alignment sheet to show just how off it was.
