Looks like i need to try insanity.. good work man
So I've been on a few year long goal to lose weight and get healthy. It has been taking me a long time because I never really worked out much. I tried p90x but then when I moved I didn't have the same space or equipment I had at my parents so when my fiance and I started to want to workout again we saw a commercial for Insanity and a few of my friends were trying it so we decided to give it a go.
The biggest plus to the workouts was that you only needed about a 5 foot radius and your body is your equipment.
I figured I would post this here to see if anyone else was doing it or had ever tried it, and also for anyone who might want to try it.
The biggest things with these workouts are they are harder than any other workout video I have ever tried (makes p90x feel easy) and they make you feel like you are going to die after every workout. (but in a good way haha)
I started the workouts a little over a month ago at 249 and today weighed myself at 235 and you can really see the results.
In case anyone was wondering what i started my weight loss at wayyyy back in 2010 at 318 lbs.
Heres a photo that shows my beginning weight and the of me right before starting insanity. Only getting smaller.

Thanks a lot. Its completely crazy, not only do you think the first workouts are suuuuper hard. but the second month they decide to crank up the intensity and the second month workouts make the first ones seem like a distant dream of a good time. At least on the first ones you can stop for a second, take a couple deep breaths then keep going. but the second month they are so much tougher that even if you stop you go right back to something sooo much harder.
The problem I have with all the BeachBody programs is that they're products designed to sell. They're not really sustainable and modifiable routines for the long term. You either have to just keep cycling them over and over again or you quit when you're done and start losing your progress.
If you're out of shape then of course the prospect of getting ripped in 60 or 90 days sounds awesome. And if you actually follow the routines, it works well enough. But then what? I mean, don't hear me wrong, it's FAR better than doing nothing. I just feel like it's a quick, "feel good" fix that doesn't really teach people about proper diet or exercise for maintained fitness in the future.
Props to you though man, you look much better!

Yeah I like Hondas. Big woop. Wanna fight about it?
Well i dont and have never followed their diet routines. i have been following one given to me by my uncle who is a fitness trainer at Oregon University. 1700 calories a day with low fat, low carb, and at least 120 grams of protein a day. needless to say i eat a lot of poultry and fish. One of my biggest tests was after i stopped doing p90x before starting this (about a month or two) was i wanted to keep off what i lost doing that and i was able to by just continuing to eat healthy. I just love the fact that these programs are here to help me get to my goals and Enough of my friends who have done this have all had very good results as well with no weight gain back after quitting and going to a more normal routine (3-4 days at the gym or working out at home)
Congrats! I really insanity.

Nice work!!!
Insanity is great for weight loss. I like insane abs better than ab ripper x or ab ripper x2.
Sean T is still a d bag.
Do work! Lookin' good!
I'm still doin' work. Too bad for being fat for so long....I'd have a wicked six pack if it weren't for my flabby ass old man skin.oh well!
Awesome transformation, can't wait to see the end results. I have a insanity DVD set as well and my sister is currently doing it, I feel bad for anyone that does it, shit looks tough.
At least on the first ones you can quit for a second, take a several deeply breathing then keep going. but the second 30 days they are so much difficult that even if you quit you go right returning to something so much more complicated.
Im in the military and have pretty good cardio and insanity still about kills me everytime.
That is really impressive but i guess very less people can actually go for this kinda workout i mean i know that makes sense but someone who is really into losing they can do that i have seen people deciding it but at a moment they give up which they shouldn't. Appreciate you for the tremendous thing you have done mate inspired me a lot.
