Cool testing the waters -- VINYL CAR WRAPS! --

Ok. some of you may know i do basicly anything custom. and have been doing tons of wraps over the years too.! but i just seriously started considering adding it to my long list of my business and seeing if anyone would have intrest in having a car/truck/suv done! so thanks for the input. (i have done vehicles before so i wont be a first timer lol)

cars est. cost will be around 800 to 1600 :

    *process*

MOST VEHICLES TAKE 1 WEEK TO COMPLETE CONSIDERING THERE IS OVER 20 to 30 man hours logged for each vehicle

ALL! removable seals and trim panels will be removed, along with fenders, door handles, door panels, front and rear bumpers to ensure a factory finish. then upon reapplying trim new 3m double sided tape will be used. to ensure proper adhesion.

this is not a you get what you pay for kinda thing.. "this is a DEAL!" that is only offered to xceedspeed members and friends.

brands of vinyl to be used

    3m---- oracal------ hexis
    cast or calendered films
    ORACAL 651 Intermediate Calendered Film
ORACAL 951M Premium Cast Metallic Film
    Avery Supreme Wrap
    hexis HX series Cast vinyl
    3m 1080 scotchprint

film is easy to take off..does not hurt you paint one bit. (if left on for a few years it would be like taking off a sticker with a little heat from a heat gun will come right off. ) depending on what type you want. they are rated differently. some are for 1 to 4 years (Calendered Film) some are for 5 to 8 years (cast films) depends on product, application and purpose.

of course depending on type used cost will reflect it drastically. calendered film does not conform to areas as well. and is intended for economical use.

It's a lot of cutting work, and making sure you don't nick the paint is going to be a pain to "deal" with on a customer by customer basis, but it's good money and will make a lot of people consider it!
There's a trick to being whatever you want to be in life.
It starts with the simple belief that you are what or who you say you are. It starts, like all faiths, with a belief-a belief predicated more on whimsy than reality. And you've gotta believe for everybody else, too - until you can show them proof. If you're lucky, someone starts believing with you - first theoretically, then in practice. And two people believing are the start of a congregation. You build a congregation of believers and eventually you set out to craft a cathedral. Sometimes it's just a church; sometimes it turns out to be a chapel. Folks who don't build churches will try to tell you how you're doing it wrong, even as your steeple breaks the clouds. Never listen.- From TOUGH SHIT

in for before, during and after pics

I would consider wrapping my vehicle as the paint of my 99 accord is horrible.

How hard is it to take off? My buddy was asking me about wrapping cars and i didnt think it damaged the paint at all. But that would be the deal breaker for me.

I had my WRX Wagon's roof wrapped in digital camo - I loved it!

I'd love to have my Jeep wrapped in digital camo as well.

Hey Jordan.. Who is the Vinyl supplier? I'd like to look through the available options. Black and white are way too generic for me.

That's what I'm saying, also doing a whole car is a lot harder than doing say a center counsel. Maybe wrap your own car then toss up a picture of the finished product?

I'd be down for a wrap on my next car(2006 Saabaru) but i'd want matte black with CF roof, hood and hatch.
