Friday I have to leave by 3:30 am to get to Royal Oak between 4 and 5 am (do NOT want to be even 1 minute late) and then go on car ride 3.5 hours away to Cleveland. And then bunch of awesome talks, after party, then drive (ride) back to Royal Oak, then either Holland (3 hours away) or home (1 hour away) from there.

That's 24 hours, with >11 hours driving, if I go to Holland. Ugh.

Security con, and got the day off with pay for it. And it's a convention I'm absolutely looking forward to going to. But to save cash for no hotel, myself and 2 cars worth of people are going day-of. It's in Cleveland, so 3.5 hours away. Doors open @ 8 am, keynote starts at 9 am. So our absolute deadline is 9 am. After-party ends at 8 pm. Allegedly.
