Lookin good Brad!
I have upgraded the forum to the latest release from vBulletin. As you may notice, it looks a little bit different. There's a lot of new stuff, and hopefully enough new performance changes to help the site move a bit better. Here's a partial rundown of what's new.
This time around, I recreated the Dark/White skins from scratch. This means they're actually more complete than ever. A lot of the little imperfections from the last round are gone. There is a wide/skinny version of each and the white one looks better than before I think.
vBulletin now includes a mobile theme which is automatically loaded on your mobile device when you visit. I personally think it's pretty nice although for the time being it is not themed. I hope to eventually theme it to match the dark skin. If you don't like it, click Full Site at the bottom of the page and you'll be back to normal.
There's a new fancy editor with lots and lots of options. It shows up in Advanced and Quick Reply.
I have moved the search process off of the built in vBulletin search and onto Sphinx. Sphinx is a pretty heavy duty search software that is pretty popular and much faster. It also lets us search all the way down to 2 characters.
You'll also notice the search is *much* more complex. You can search on pretty much everything now.
The "What's New" menu option now should show you a lot more information about the latest posts. I don't know how well it works, it's hard to test when the board is shut off.
iTrader has been updated to the latest version, I don't know what that means for us.
All Flea Market threads now auto-lock after 30 days of inactivity. I may lower that in the future but it's better than it was.
I just noticed, this thing auto-saves your post as you type. It must have a drafts feature? Pretty cool.
That's all I can think of.
In case you're not aware, you can change the theme at the bottom left hand corner of the forum.

I don't think our speed issues are gone yet, but I'm doing my best to track down the problems.

I can say without a doubt, this site loads a hell of a lot quicker now when you change pages.

Hopefully this continues. I think it was a combination of a bad database configuration and the fact I hadn't rebooted the server in almost a year and the memory was full.
I should reboot more often.

although I found one flaw, the what's new seems to take all new posts, does this filter out the whore threads and whatnot? I liked the option of having all the new threads in one simple button, is that still possible?
