Ehh, still going to be dd status on those?
Apparently.. he's got the company making the coilovers I want.
I went with 14k in the front, 12k in the rear with valving to match. Asked for swift springs.
The car or...?
My goal with building cars has always been race ready yet having the ability to drive to cali and back without worrying about reliability. That's how the Tib was built, how the BMW is being built, and how the Genesis will be built.
Tib was about as stiff, but Genesis weighs more with a lot more tire. Should be around the same.
A little bit of this..

And a little bit of

Equals a little bit more grip.
Should go a little softer...

Let's admit, this was expected from me.

Road trip was fun.
I need to order a catch can.. goal is to finish fabricating the intake and do some last minute prep work for Waterford on Monday.
The exhaust is pretty much finished, intake is easy, and FMIC piping needs to be fabricated.
I found out something really fkn cool today as well, a tuner out in IL can write multiple maps. Using an EBC I can set the boost anywhere from 14 to 20lbs. Which is great.
Mr.Douche keeps banning me, even though the god damn ADMIN OF THIS WEBSITE unbans me. Harassing his admin privileges should yield to being stripped of them. It's not like i'm doing anything bad, to deserve a ban. Jesus Christ.
I had a pretty awesomely crazy day at the track today, was at Waterford with 3balls racing.
First session out, car felt amazing. It was a great shakedown. I was going 8/10 that session, still getting a feel for the car.
I was running Conti slicks in the rear, Hoosiers in the front. Realized my Hoosiers were cording after I pulled off.. god dammit. It wasn't bad enough for me to not go out for another session before calling it quits with those tires.
Second session out I went 10/10, unfortunately the ABS system on this car sucks MASSIVE DONKEY KONG BALLS since if it detects any type of steering mixed with bumps it'll instantly go haywire and cause you to have absolutely no brake power. Ended up going off the back straight at around 105mph, gravel pit saved my ass. I was a few feet from hitting the wall. That could have ended badly.
I love the car on the track, it's incredible. I still broke the conti's loose going around corners, but recovering is easy.
I'm waiting for pictures of my car on track, but until then these will have to suffice.

YEAH BUDDY

I remember a wise person once saying something along the lines of "AWD turbo car > RWD car that acts like it's FWD."
Seems like you bought the wrong car.
Hell no.. this is the most neutral car i've driven so far. It doesn't push into corners, and if you go in too hot it'll let the rear end slip a bit. Recovery is extremely easy due to the long wheel base.
Quote from bao "I'm impressed with the stock struts/springs on this car, it handles better than the Miata does." His miata has coilovers, bracing, and a few other things.
That might have been the first compliment any of my cars have gotten from Bao.
I'm just giving you hell.
Seriously though, ABS on a track car is killer. I'd hate to have to deal with it.
Yeah i'll need to figure something out. I can't have this. It's not as easy as pulling the fuse unfortunately, because the module moderates brake pressure to all four wheels. That means pull fuse, get 50/50 front and rear. Which can be a bad thing.
ABS is currently my biggest issue with the car, other than that I <3 it.
