I might be up for this. I went out there last month with a gorup of 3000GTs, but I didn't get to run because my transfer case went out two days earlier. I did get to ride along though, it was lots of fun.

This is an open event. Anyone is welcome. Gingerman is located about 3.5 hours from downtown Detroit. The track opens at 5:30 pm, so people only have to take a half day off of work. The track is difficult on the breaks, and I strong urge first timers to have any expert go along in the car.

It's a blast, the track is smooth and wide, with plenty of run off. I find it's much easier to go around the entire track in third gear, (foruth in the straights). This keeps my mind on the track, not shifting.

The last time we went out about 30 cars showed up, they ran 2 heats. So there are others cars on the track at the same time, passing is allowed, but it must be in a safe area.

If you like GT3 , this is a chance to do it in real life....I just love taking my Focus out there and passing cars like WRX's in the corners....

Damn thats only 35 miles from my house... exactly lol... How long are the heats... $50 for two races sounds shitty, unless that means two groups and not races... It would be fun with other cars on the track too, but I wish I wasnt auto for this type of racing..

They had two run groups, each taking turns. 20min sessions. Keep switching until the sun goes down.
