    Rust repair

Well some of you may or may not know that I just bought a CRX, provided that the frame isn't too bad in rust, I plan on doing the rust repair myself with a buddy of mine. The drivers side rear quarter I will replace in time, but the other panels seem fixable. So how should I go about fixing this? I was thinking of grinding off the rust and seeing how far it goes. Then lay down some bondo then some fibers and bondo on top of that, or just get the bondo with the fiber strands already in it. Then just primer over it, usually I wouldn't care much about the body but if I don't do it soon the rust will just keep spreading.

Other side. The shit on the side is just old paintball from previous owners, don't mind it.

Step 1) Replace fenders/doors with rust free stuff
Step 2) Cut out quarter panel rust
Step 3) Weld in new sheetmetal

Bondo and crap shouldn't be used to fill holes or "fix" rust. Only way to fix rust is to cut it all out and weld in new metal. From looking at the car, your best bet is to find a different car

That car looks like it sat down with the Titanic for a few years. Honestly...replace the panels and doors with new ones or ones with much much much less rust. I would not even attempt to try and fix that.

That's a shit ton of rust. Replace the doors and fenders for sure. The passenger rear quarter didn't look too bad, but the drivers side looks like hell. You're going to be spending a lot of money on replacement panels. And if you don't know how to weld, paint etc.. you're going to have a lot of money into labor costs as well.

I paid $25-30 a door at the junkyard and they were the same color. You can't tell they were replaced aside from the pinstripe missing.

So, best bet is hit up some yards. You will spend more in material than anything else, in just attempting and not fixing the problem you have there.

Doors/fenders/quarters. Look for a car with a blown motor, either swap motors, or body parts.
