you know, I don't like trucks at all.. my Ranger was pretty cool.. but I think most "Americans" buy these things with no use for them. a small percentage actually haul stuff in the back, or even tow something. Most people think they are safer, They are not, when it comes to hitting other cars it might be, you maneuver it do miss something, and you flip. 50/50. they are waste on gas and if you don't use them as a truck then the you are buying gas and going no place.

i dont understand his comparison?? that makes completely no sense whatsoever. its not a balls to the wall race car like the atom. its a fucking pick up truck, it has 20" wheels, 4 doors, and 8 foot bed, 4 wheel drive, etc. im afraid i missed his point completely. for being a pick up truck, i'd say its a very nice one indeed.

how much can the atom tow? in the snow??


i love that show, but sometimes i think they have 0 perspective. they bash the US all the time, and thats fine. but perhaps taking other perspectives into account would be beneficial to the show?

i would just like to see more added to his comparison. like maintanence every 10k miles. ability in the snow. how well they both carry passengers. how much water each can ford. which blows the coldest AC? i know the ram has sirius radio, and 6 disk cd player. not to mention the speakers are pretty decent. how is the atoms stereo?? thats important to some people. which one can you daily drive year round, best?

i know most of those are silly, because the atom cannot compare to the ram. but its the same thing he did.

The man has money, he bought/owned a ford GT and was one of his self proclaimed favorite cars. He is not a hypocrite, most of the US bashing they do is pretty spot on, but they also give credit where it's due. Clarkston loved how the vette felt on the track but hated how cheap all the plastic on it was, all true. I think they do a pretty good job of being fair and assessing vehicles with out much bias, although their jokes do usually seem to have the US at the butt-end .

I'm not sure if this was supposed to be a joke, or what, but it is a terrible comparison and a horrible assessment of a truck. If they were going to put it through the paces like that they should have picked up an SRT10, lightning, dak R/T, something that was at least aimed towards being sporty and not something like a 4x4 tow rig. It's not that the truck is bad, they were just testing it in ALL the wrong areas, which does lead me to beleive it's just a hollow stab at what we deem "useful". Keep in mind things like trucks are of no use over there, it's a completely different society and they just go about things differently. So when they look at us, with our huge gas guzzling trucks, all they see is stupid people with oversized equipment. But here a big truck is not really that impractical for what a lot of people do, sure there are a lot of people who don't use them to their full potential but i'd put money down that the greater majority do actually use their truck the way it was intended.

I thought the show was pretty funny though, and could care less what he thinks of the ram, i'm still getting my cummins powered 2500 as soon as I can afford it .
