This forum is intended for the little guy who performs a service for side money. If you detail cars from your garage, or powder coat, or any number of things, you are welcome to post here.

If you own a legal business... don't bother posting here. Sure, you can fake it, but once we find out, all your posts will disappear and you'll probably be banned for annoying me. Leave this forum for the little guys and man up and buy a banner ad to support XceedSpeed if you have a real business (in other words.. if you have an LLC, you're not posting in here.)

If this forum gets abused, I'm taking it away. Use it properly and I think everyone will benefit.

Can you post in here if you are starting out as a DBA to see how things go? If things went well and moved to the LLC status obviously would have to move to the commercial section. If you need more info to answer (like on a case by case basis) feel free to contact me. I do not want to step on any toes that could potentially help things grow.

I apologize this question never got answered.

I started this forum for almost the reason you said. Right now, a lot of people have an LLC or some form of business license of some sort. Just because you have that doesn't mean you're actually doing any real business. So I can understand if you started a powder coating company out of your garage and you're cooking the parts in your wife's oven and moving a couple things here and there. IMO, that's not a "real" established business and you're not going to get any real flack from me for posting here.

To use a real life example, I see Jefford now has a website, a company name, etc... IMO he's probably in the realm of where he should be paying me for advertising. I haven't pushed the issue YET.. but I will soon. If you can afford a website and fancy pictures of your work and you're operating this under a business name, I'm calling you a business and I'd like for you to pay us for advertising.

Obviously not everyone can afford our rates (they're INSANELY low for the traffice we get) and I've always worked with anyone who wanted to advertise but couldn't afford the $$.
