Spring BBQ May 7th **UPDATED!!! READ!!**

Finally.. more details. Better late than never right?

First let me cover a few things I feel are important to say and then we'll get to the real information. If you've never been to one of our BBQ's, you owe it to yourself to show up to this one. I believe our BBQ's to be the largest single social gathering for the sport compact enthusiast. Check out the gallery of pictures from a few of our last bbq's HERE and you'll see what I mean. Not only is it consistantly large, it's constantly civil. Stuff a ton of people in a parking lot and you almost always get a few idiots but we've had not one problem in the past 3 years that I can think of. And on the subject of years.. this is year 4 for our BBQ's!! I guarantee you'll have a good time if you come.. it's always a blast.

    Who is welcome?

EVERYONE.. and I mean everyone. Are you reading this post and thinking "My 454 Chevelle SS isn't going to be welcome" ... WRONG. If you're reading this post and thinking "My car isn't running and all I have is my beater Geo Metro" .. who cares? Show up! Do you drive a muscle car, big jacked up 4x4, rusted out piece of crap beater, etc?? Bring it out! We have never, nor will we ever, deny entry to someone based on what they show up in. If you've been to our past bbq's, you've seen people bring their kids, wives, dogs, whatever.

    What is provided?

As every year, we provide a few basics. The hot dogs, hamburgers, buns and ketchup/mustard will be provided by us. The rest..... well read on.

    What is expected of me?

As you can see above.. we provide the bare minimum of food. So what do you need to do? Bring something to share. Chips, cookies, pop (WE NEED LOTS OF POP!!) or if you feel like being a chef and bringing something other than the simple stuff.. please do. I can't stress the pop thing enough.. we run out every year so if you grab a 12 pack or two of cans, that's a huge help. That's all we ask.. there is no charge, there is no requirements that you bring something.. but we ask that you pitch in to make this event a success. We don't turn down offers to buy more meat/bread product either

*** I do need someone to commit to bringing paper plates, napkins and forks.. if you can do that, please PM me. I wouldn't mind having more than one or two people commit in case we run out. ***

    I want to do more!!

Every year around the BBQ and at it as well, I get asked how someone could donate to the cost of having such events. We always have a raffle and all you have to do is buy tickets to the raffle. Want to put $20 toward the cost of the event? buy 20 tickets. The more you buy, the easier it is on our wallets. Xceed has a rather limited budget and every year we pretty much deplete the coffers to have our 2 bbq's. We rely on the income from the raffle to help pay for the costs. Any time you buy a raffle ticket, you're helping Xceed

*** Any one (person or company) wishing to help with supplying raffle items, please contact me.. the more the merrier) ***

What DON'T you want from me?

General assclownery is frowned upon. We don't need you revving your car through the lot.. or trying to drag race through groups of people or just being a regular douchebag. If you find it hard to do so.. someone will remind you. So just be on your best behavior

    Where do I go?

The most important part so make sure you don't skip this!! This year we're in the same spot we have been for the past 2 Spring BBQ's. Please please please.. print this map out or something. Every year we have reports of people getting lost or going to the wrong park. Remember.. our spring BBQ's are at STONY CREEK!! And.. the map is attached below to guide you to the location.

    Location: STONY CREEK METROPARK
    Lot: Gladeview B
    Date: May 7th 2005
Time: We will begin grilling at noonish so anytime around there that you show up is good. If you want to come early to make sure we have enough help to set up, we'll be there around 10:30am.

More details to follow very soon.

As usual, we are looking for companies/people/places to provide items for our raffle that helps pay for the bbq food and costs. Please pm me if you're interested in helping out.
    Thank you sir.
